Bridgette Josephine Jehlicka

Bridgette Josephine Jehlicka age 42 of Fordville, ND passed away Monday, August 6, 2012 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks after a courageous battle with Colon Cancer. Bridgette Josephine Bosh was born January 9, 1970 in Park River, ND, the daughter of Herman A. and Judy A. (Trenda) Bosh. She grew up in Lankin, ND, graduating from the Fordville-Lankin High School. She then attended Lake Region State College, Devil's Lake, ND, graduating with an associate's degree as a Paralegal. Bridgette was united in marriage to Randy Jehlicka on July 11, 1992 in Lankin, ND. She worked at the Law Office Limited, Grafton, ND and then Tri-Campbell Farms. For the past 14 years she worked for Wes Welch. Bridgette loved spending time with her family, especially her husband and children, friends and her dogs Mojo and Chloe. She enjoyed camping, cooking, flower gardening and entertaining. She was a member of the St. Joseph's Catholic Church and Altar Society, the Bosh-Ryba Ladies Legion Auxiliary, an Aggie Booster and an Avon Sales Representative for the last year and a half. She was recognized as the top sales person in eastern North Dakota. Bridgette's life would seem too short to many, but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of life far exceeds the quantity of time in which one lives. She gave us all such courage and hope. Her family was her life. Even in her death her family was proud of the fact that Bridgette was able to give the gift of sight through the donation of her eyes. She is survived by her husband Randy Jehlicka, Fordville, ND; children: Hope and Jace Jehlicka, Fordville, ND; parents: Judy and Herman Bosh, Lankin, ND; sisters: Heidi (John) Gustafson, Adams, ND; Gretchen (Darren) Asperheim, Larimore, ND; mother-in-law Avis Jehlicka, Fordville, ND; sister-in-law Melanie (Jim) Pokrzywinski, Lankin, ND; nieces and nephews: Aaron (Sarah) Gustafson, East Grand Forks, MN; Casey (Tara) Gustafson, Kennewick, WA; Kevin Gustafson, Adams, ND; Ryan (Tesa Adamsen) Ryba, Larimore, ND; Kelsey Ryba, Tempe, AZ; Zachary Ryba, Moorhead, MN; Brad (Nikki) Pokrzywinski, Bismarck, ND and Kyann (Darren Lee) Pokrzywinski, Lankin, ND. She was preceded in death by her brother Bryce Bosh, grandparents: William & Josephine Bosh and James & Doris Trenda; father-in-law William "Billy" Jehlicka. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, August 11, 2012 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lankin, ND. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the St. Joseph's Catholic Church, Lankin, ND. Friends may call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service.
