Bridget Grindahl

November 9, 1982 — March 30, 2025

Bridget Grindahl, age 42 of Fargo, ND, formerly of Grafton, ND, passed away on Sunday, March 30th, 2025 at the Sanford Hospital in Fargo, ND.

Norma and Doyle Grindahl welcomed Bridget into their expanding family on November 9th, 1982. Growing up in this family, she found a love of music, animals and God’s great open spaces.

Bridget grew up in Grafton, ND, attending Westview Elementary, Central Middle School, and Grafton High School, graduating in 2001. Before continuing her education, she found something she was born into – driving truck. That sugar beet harvest she ended up driving for local farmers. She then went on to attend Trinity Bible College, where she earned a Bachelor’s Degree in music. Following TBC, she put her degree to good use by leading worship at Freedom Church in Grand Forks, ND. During which time she was employed by Noridian. But she was an adventurous spirit and that took her to Wisconsin where she worked with children and was involved in teaching classes in music. Years later, she would continue with her adventures in Minnesota. There she found her way back to her true passion – leading worship. A passion that was fostered by singing table grace with her extended family. After a season of doing one of her passions, she felt a pull towards her other passion – working with dogs. It was during this time that she met and eventually adopted Tanner – her Boxer mix. They would become inseparable and now she had the perfect partner to take with her on her adventures! And go on adventures they did! They loved going bike riding, walking wilderness trails and hiking through state parks together. Being the people person that she was, she inevitably ended up making friends with others she and Tanner met along the way. One of those friends introduced her to horse rescue and she was hooked. You see, she spent most of her childhood on horseback, first on an onery Shetland pony, named Flicka, and then later on, riding Sundance and Missy throughout the Walhalla hills. These experiences shaped her views on horse welfare, leading to her interest in horse rescue.

Bridget is survived by her parents, Doyle and Norma Grindahl of Grafton, sister Rochelle Grindahl of Grafton, brother Trevor(Amy) Grindahl of Minto, and nieces Emery, Paisley and nephew Sawyer Grindahl all of Minto. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Henry and Mary Wieler and her paternal grandmother, Reah Grindahl.
