Bradley Jarl Hendrickson, age 91 of Edinburg, ND, passed away Wednesday, April 29, 2026 at the Wedgewood Manor of Cavalier, ND.

Bradley Hendrickson was born March 17, 1935, at home in rural Adams, ND, the son of Clarence and Antonia (Vejtasa) Hendrickson. In 1949, he attended Adams High School and graduated in 1953. After high school, he served in the U.S. Army in Fort Knox, Kentucky and Germany from 1954-1956. Returning home after the service, he attended the North Dakota State School of Science in Wahpeton completing two years of auto mechanics. In March of 1959, he met Darlene Warner, and they were soon married in Rock Rapids, Iowa, on September 6, 1959. Brad and Darlene settled in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, where Brad worked as a mechanic at International Harvester for five years. In 1964, they relocated to Adams, North Dakota. Then in 1972, they bought a small farm and settled down in Edinburg, North Dakota. Brad worked various construction jobs in his local area including the building of the Cavalier Air Base known as the Parsite, and he also worked for a family of farmers in Inkster, ND, for several years. His side job was taking care of his many sheep and lambs, and putting up small hay bales every summer for winter feed and selling to horse owners.

He was a member of the American Legion, and a member of the Table of Knowledge at Farmer’s Union where they enjoyed many cups of coffee and conversation. He loved nature especially planting and caring for trees, keeping an immaculate lawn and garden, and hunting – fox, coyote, or deer. His enormous barn was a focus of his attention over the years always painting and replacing windows and shingles. He enjoyed watching all kinds of sports, working outside, attending church and community events, and taking pictures. He loved spending time with family, always visiting siblings, cousins, nieces, and nephews. One of his many passions was working on his old cars and driving them in the local parades. He always made it a family event.

Bradley is survived by his four daughters: Rhea (Duane) Restemayer, Edinburg, ND; Rona Johnson, Cheyenne, WY; Diane (Bruce) Ralston, Mountain, ND; and Terri (Dan) Holt, Hoople, ND; his grandchildren: Angela (Christopher) DuBois, Desiree (Jon) Gabriel, Heather (Art Flores) Morgan, Paula Putrino, Alexander Holt, Erica Ralston, and Jacob Ralston; six great grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren. His siblings: Veva Adamson, Moorhead, MN; Gene Hendrickson, Fairfax, VA; and Connie Page, Edina, MN and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, his brother, Merle Hendrickson and his wife, Darlene M. Hendrickson.
