Bonnie D. Amundrud

Bonnie D. Amundrud, age 67 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 23, 2014 at First Care Health Center of Park River, ND. Bonnie D. Lerud was born August 29, 1946 in Langdon, ND the daughter of Clifford and Margaret (Schuster) Lerud. She attended Montrose School District #4 near Union and graduated from Edinburg High School. She graduated from Mayville State Teachers College and following her education she taught school in Crookston, Minnesota for a year and a half. Bonnie was united in marriage to Reuben Windingland on June 18, 1969 at Union, ND. The couple lived and farmed near Edinburg. Bonnie taught school in Edinburg for 37 years, retiring in 2008. Reuben passed away on January 3, 1998. Bonnie was married to Lyle Amundrud on June 10, 2006 in Edinburg. The couple made their home near Edinburg. She was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA, the Edinburg American Legion Auxiliary and the North Dakota Education Association. Bonnie is survived by her husband, Lyle, of Edinburg, ND; son Marcus (Marianne) Windingland, Edinburg, ND; her mother, Margaret Lerud, Union, ND; brother, Virgil (Annie) Lerud, Union, ND; four grandchildren: Darin (Kyann) Lee, Robyn Lee, Anderson Beck, Ryan Beck and her uncle, Larry (Shelli) Schuster, Edinburg, ND. She was preceded in death by her father and husband, Reuben. Funeral services will be Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 3:00 PM at Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg. Visitation will be Sunday from 1-3 PM at the church in Edinburg. Interment will be at Trinity Cemetery of Edinburg.
