Beverly A Hammer

Beverly A. Hammer, age 79 of Fairdale, ND passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2016 at Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Beverly A. Qually was born September 24, 1936 near Adams, ND the daughter of the late Alfred and Clara (Hilde) Qually. She attended rural school near Adams and graduated from Adams High School. Beverly was united in marriage to Merlin Hammer on October 23, 1954 at the Vang Lutheran Church near Fairdale. The couple lived and farmed near Fairdale. Beverly worked at MTI Telemarketing in Langdon for 10 years.

Beverly was a member of Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She taught Sunday School for several years. She was a member of the Fairdale Community Club. Beverly loved to spend time with her family and she will be greatly missed. Bev felt so blessed by her husband, children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She took interest in their lives and endeavors and loved and enjoyed each of the them immensely.

She is survived by her husband, Merlin, Fairdale, ND; children; Greg (Nancy) Hammer, Fairdale, ND; Taryn “Terry” (Andrea) Hammer, Minot, ND; Kyza (Vern) Skyrud, Edinburg, ND; nine grandchildren: Sarah (Shawn) Nygaard, Ross (Lexy) Hammer, Kyle (Christine) Hammer, Aundi (Justin) Paur, Mykell (Jesse) Barnacle, Dane (Katrina) Hammer, Rand Hammer, Judd Skyrud, Jace Skyrud, seven great grandchildren: Jax and Lakyn Nygaard, Cora Hammer, Tate, Sylvia, Beck and Ty Barnacle; her sisters: Ada Drevecky, Adams, ND; and Millie (Ron) Hagen, Park River, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents.

Funeral services will be Sunday, September 4, 2016 at 2:00 PM at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church of Fairdale, ND. Visitation will be Saturday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church. Friends may also call at the church on Sunday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Silvesta Lutheran Cemetery, rural Fairdale.
