Beverley R. Hall, age 88 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Thursday, February 14, 2019 at the Park River Good Samaritan Center.
Beverley Rae Laithwaite was born October 10, 1930 in Edinburg, ND the daughter of the late Raymond and Clara (Rodger) Laithwaite. Her mother died when Beverley was very young and she was raised by her aunt and uncle, Glenn and Ruth Laithwaite. She attended Lampton School District #50 and graduated from Edinburg High School in 1948. She attended nurses training at St. John’s Hospital in Fargo and St. Michael’s Hospital in Grand Forks. Beverley was united to John Hall on July 16, 1950 in Edinburg, ND. The couple made their home in Edinburg. He passed away in 2003. She remained in Edinburg until March of 2018 when she moved to the Good Samaritan Apartments and in October of 2018 when she moved to the Good Samaritan Center.
Beverley was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and WELCA and was a Sunday School teacher and treasurer for many years. She served on the Walsh County Homemakers Council. She was a member of the Sunnyside Homemakers Group, Music Mothers, PTO, Order of Eastern Star and Red Hat Society. She was a Cub Scout Leader for a time. She loved to cook and was a wonderful homemaker. She loved to spend time with her family and grandchildren and was a faithful friend to many.
Beverley is survived by her children: Greg (Ruth) Hall, Edinburg, ND; Fred (Dorothy) Hall, Edinburg, ND; Rodger (Kristi) Hall, Hoople, ND; Connie (John) Simpson, Boise, ID; grandchildren: Jodi (Mike), T.J. (Katie), Jackson (Mariah), Taylor (Alyson) Kade (Cass), Kyle (Amy), Charley, Johann, Sam and Mandy; great grandchildren: Jase, Halle, Haidyn, Brooks, Gianna, Laith, Landry, Ellis, Haakon, Leif, Katelyn and cousin, Nadine (Jerry) Olson, Hoople, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Myron and sister, Verna Delle Skorheim.
Funeral services will be Monday, February 18, 2019 at 10:00 AM at Trinity Lutheran Church of Edinburg, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Trinity Lutheran Church. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in the spring.
