Bethel A. Cudmore

March 28, 1922 — September 15, 2016

Bethel Adeline Ingulsrud was born March 28, 1922 to Ben and Amanda (Berntson) Ingulsrud in Osford Township, ND and passed away peacefully surrounded by the love and prayers of family at the Lutheran Sunset Home on September 15, 2016.

Bethel was baptized at Hitterdal Lutheran Free Church on April 23, 1922. She graduated from Walsh County Agriculture School, Park River, in 1940. Bethel married Erwin Howard Walter Cudmore on October 19, 1941 at Hitterdal Lutheran Free Church. They lived in Kensington Township, Walsh County and raised their four children on the Cudmore Homestead.

Bethel worked at Fjeld’s Fashions in Park River. She then became the Activities Director for the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton and the Good Samaritan Center in Park River. Erwin and Bethel attended church in Park Center and later became members of Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and later Victory Free Lutheran Church. Bethel was active within their respective women’s ministries, taught Sunday School, and served on various committees. She was a member of the N.E.N.D. Pioneer Machinery Association. Hobbies included working with Erwin on the farm, a bowling league, antiquing, quilting, family reunions, playing the auto harp and piano, camping, crocheting, and writing poetry. She loved singing with her sisters in the Ingulsrud trio.

Bethel was preceded in death by her husband Erwin, parents Ben and Amanda, sisters Eleanor Fjeld, Laura Schafer and Margaret Cummings. She is survived by her sister Dorothy Axvig residing in Park River, ND and brother Olger “Bud” Ingulsrud residing in Port Orchard, WA.

Children include Adele (Leonard) Momerak, Grafton, ND; Lee (Elaine), Park River, ND;Larry (Wendy), Idaho Falls, ID; and Cyndie (Richard) Perkerewicz, Washburn, ND.

Grandchildren and great-grandchildren include children of Leonard and Adele which are Alyson (Jeff) Jacobson and children Samuel, Elizabeth, Caleb and Sarah; Brenda (Marcus) Erickson and children Luke, Micah, Adam, and Megan; and Bill (Alesa) Momerak and daughter Paige. Children of Lee and Elaine are Robert (Susan) Cudmore and children Levi and Sawyer,and Rhonda (Andy) Undlin and children Jacob, Jasmine, and Maris. Children of Larry and Wendy are Timothy (Mollie) Cudmore and children Maddy, Dawson, and Jaeden, Matthew (Rosie) Cudmore and children Bridger, Gideon, and Gemma; and Rachel Cudmore. Children of Cyndie and Richard are Jedidiah (Sarah) Perkerewicz and children Isaac, Jacob, and Levi; Michael (Sara) Perkerewicz and children Parker, Amelia, and Margaret; Benjamin (Rebecca) Perkerewicz and son Gus; Amanda (Ryan) Botner and children Will, Sebastian, and Lucy.

Funeral services will be Monday, September 19, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Victory Free Lutheran Church of Park River, ND. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, North Dakota.
