Barbara J. Mihulka

Barbara J. Mihulka, age 90 of Grafton, ND passed away Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at the Eventide Nursing Home of Moorhead, MN. Barbara J. Franks was born August 29, 1923 in Braintree, England, the daughter of the late William and Eva Franks. She was united in marriage to Victor Mihulka on January 27, 1944 in Braintree, England. The couple owned and operated Valley Jewelry in Grafton until retiring in 2001. She moved to Fargo, ND in September 2013 in pursuit of spending more time with her grandchildren. Barbara was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and the Grafton American Legion Auxiliary. Her greatest joy was spending time with her family. Barbara is survived by her children: Theresa Kalbrener, Fargo, ND; Stephen (Anita) Mihulka, Horace, ND; Robert (Diane) Mihulka, Grand Forks, ND; nine grandchildren: Paul Kalbrener, Tracy Gilbertson, Scott Kalbrener, Jason Kalbrener, Christie Graves, Mike Mihulka, Katie Malen, Jenni Drake and Marc Mihulka; 21 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren and three siblings in England. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor, parents and son-in-law Jim Kalbrener. Memorial services will be Tuesday, January 28, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Inurnment will be at the St. John's Catholic Cemetery.
