Arnold L. Monson

Arnold L. Monson, age 95 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, August 3, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River, ND.

Arnold L. Monson was born on September 21, 1929 on the family farm. Arnold farmed at his home farm until his retirement. He attended country school in Fertile Township, District 29. He was baptized and confirmed in the Lutheran faith.

He enjoyed farming, old-time music, and going for rides to check the crops. Arnold and his nephew Ron, often adventured to Rollag to look at all the old machinery. He especially loved his 1961 2-door Chevy, hard top; called the “Midnight Special”. He cruised the country side with it, in his younger days. Arnold loved to go to Minnesota and fish with Al and Ron and spend the holidays at Ron and Eldora’s in Fergus Falls.

Arnold is survived by many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Edward and Ida, brother Manville, sister Eleanor Monsebroten, sister-in-law Dorothy Monson, brother-in-law Norman Monsebroten, nephew Allen Monson, niece LaVonne Pendergrass, nephew Marty Monson, Russell Monsebroten, Ray Monsebroten, Sally Ahles, Noah Ahles, and Carol Monsebroten.

Funeral services will be on Friday, August 8, 2025 at 10:30 am at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at South Trinity Lutheran Cemetery of rural Grafton.
