Arnold L. "Arnie" Jarolimek, age 57 of Moorhead, MN and formerly of Forest River, ND passed away on Wednesday, May 6, 2009 peacefully in his sleep at his home. Arnold Lucas Jarolimek was born January 25, 1952 in Grafton, ND the son of Angela (Kubesh) Jarolimek and the late Matt E. Jarolimek. He grew up and attended school in Minto, graduating with honors from Minto High School in 1970. He attended Mayville State University and later enlisted in the United States Air Force. Following his discharge he returned to Grafton and worked for Brodeur Construction and Pamida, where he met Linda Komanetz. They were later married on August 16, 1975 at St. John's Catholic Church in Grafton. He moved to Moorhead, MN and resided there until his death.
Arnie enjoyed fishing and was a dedicated Minnesota Twins fan. He was a proud father of his two daughters Andrea and Heather and his newborn grandson, Luke.
He is survived by his daughters: Andrea (Andy) Hoffman, Duluth, MN; Heather Jarolimek, Fargo, ND; grandson Luke Hoffman; his mother Angela Jarolimek, Fargo, ND; siblings: Matt (Evelyn) Jarolimek; Stanwood, WA; Theresa (Jim) Cernik, Fargo, ND; Kenneth (Kathy) Jarolimek, Bismarck, ND; Alvin Jarolimek, Grand Forks, ND; Craig (Dawn) Jarolimek, Forest River, ND; and Earl (Kristi) Jarolimek, Fargo, ND; numerous nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father Matt; brother Paul Jarolimek; sister-in-law: Jan Jarolimek and brother-in-law Harold Kovarik.
Mass of Christian Burial will be Tuesday, May 12, 2009 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Luke's Catholic Church of Veseleyville, ND. Visitation will be Monday from 5-7:30 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:30 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Tuesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Luke's Catholic Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Pisek American Legion Post.
