Ardelle Marie Throndset , 84 of Mt. Airy, MD formerly of Edinburg, North Dakota, died peacefully with loved ones by her side on Saturday, October 10, 2015 at the Golden Living CenterWestminster, Maryland. She was born on February 14, 1931 near Osnabrock, North Dakota. Ardelle was preceded in death by her parents, Elmer and Lauretta McLaren Watt, and her husband of 52 years, Percy Joseph Throndset. Ardelle attended school in Osnabrock, North Dakota, and upon graduation attended both Mayville Teachers College and Aakers Business College. She was a school teacher in a one-room school house in Cavalier County, and worked at a local nursing home and the Perimeter Acquisition Radar (PAR) Site in Concrete, North Dakota. In her free time, Ardelle enjoyed dancing, gardening, reading, card parties, and most of all spending time with her family. She was also a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Edinburg, North Dakota. Surviving are son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Sandy Throndset of Woodbine, Maryland; her daughter and son-in-law, Renee and Gordon Bennett of Tucson, Arizona; sisters Leona McLeod, Marlene Wolter, and Carole Johnson as well as her brother Gary Watt. She is also survived by her two grandchildren, Stacey Lynn and Ryan Joseph Throndset. The family will receive friends and family at the Tollefson Funeral Home 510 2nd St. in Edinburg, North Dakota 58227 from 11:00 - 12:00 on Thursday, October 15, 2015. A memorial service will then be conducted at 12:00 Noon with Pastor Jessica Merchant of Trinity Lutheran Church officiating. Interment will be held immediately after the service at Zion Cemetery at Union.
