Anna L. Einarson, age 85 of Grafton, ND passed away on Wednesday, June 10, 2026 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.
Anna Ault was born December 18, 1940 in Cavalier, ND, the daughter of the late William John and Mildred (Puppe) Ault. She grew up and attended school in Cavalier. She was united in marriage to LaVerne Scholler in 1958 and together they had two daughters Sheryl and Sandra. She worked various jobs in Grafton, ND including S & L, the Lutheran Sunset Home and the Life Skills and Transition Center. She was united in marriage to Thomas Leonard Einarson in 1991 and the couple made their home in Grafton until he passed away in 2013. She moved to Tufte Manor in Grand Forks in 2016 and into the Lutheran Sunset Home in 2025.
She volunteered at the Walsh County Food Pantry and the Second Time Around Store. She enjoyed riding horses and playing bingo.
Anna is survived by her daughters Sheryl McGlynn, East Grand Forks, MN and Sandra (Mike) Sackett, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Travis Rasmussen (Katie), Dereck Rasmussen (Becky) and children Max and Ruby, Cory Barclay (Mikki) and children Beckett, Cayson and Sawyer, Laura Hermanson (Bailey), Garrett Barclay (Megan Kalka) and children Everly and Hadley and Briana Martens (Thomas) and children Ember and Braylee; and brother John (Linda) Ault, Grafton, ND. She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father Bjorn Nupdal; husband Thomas Leonard Einarson; son-in-law Dave McGlynn; great grandchildren Liam and Evelyn Rasmussen; and brother Wayne Ault.
Per her request no funeral service will be held. A family Celebration of Life will be held at a later date with inurnment taking place at the North Dakota Veteran’s Cemetery in Mandan, ND.
