Ann I. Osowski, age 81 of Minto, ND passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2010 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Ann I. Zidon was born February 11, 1928 near Pisek, ND the daughter of the late Anton and Martha (Schanilec) Zidon. She attended rural school near Pisek. Following her education she was united in marriage to Bernard Osowski on May 17, 1949 in Veseleyville, ND. The couple farmed near Minto, ND until 1968. She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church and Parish Society of Grafton, ND. She was a charter member of the Catholic Daughters, a past president and secretary of the Minto Altar Society, a Walsh Center township clerk, a volunteer election judge, a life member of the American Legion Auxiliary in Minto and a member of the Crookston Knitters. Ann is survived by her children: Charlotte Osowski, Rochester, MN; Edwin A. Osowski, Milaca, MN; Peter (Shelley) Osowski, Chaska, MN; Michael (Shirley) Osowski, Minto, ND; Patrick (Beth) Osowski, Oshkosh, WI; 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband on Feb. 6, 2005, an infant daughter Kathleen Osowski, three brothers: Steve, Anton and Herman and three sisters: Edythe Praska, Martha Jelinek and Marie Wilson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday, February 6, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery of Minto.
