Ann C. Lunde, age 101, of Grafton, passed away on Saturday, November 9, 2013 at the Grafton Lutheran Sunset Home. Ann C. Thomas was born March 1, 1912, in Grafton, ND, to Henry and Annie (Wimpfheimer) Thomas. She grew up in Grafton, graduating from Grafton High School in 1930. For a time, she was a cook at Nelson Drug. She married Edwin Lunde March 1, 1946. She was a homemaker who loved cooking, baking and gardening. Ann was a member of the Grafton Lutheran Church and the Order of Eastern Star (Mizpah Chapter 6). During her lifetime she enjoyed travels to England, Scotland, and a variety of locales within the US. Ann is survived by daughter Betty Thompson, Fargo, ND; grandchildren: Scott Hall, Eugene, OR; Diana (Mike) Murray, Eugene, OR; Lisa (John) Park, Medford, OR; Janet (Mike) Bayyuk, Everett, WA; Kaye (Gunnar) Hardy, Medford, OR; Brian (Tami) Hall, Queens Creek, AZ; Sheryl (Joel) Aslakson, Fargo, ND; Denise (Chad) Larson, Harwood, ND; 15 great grandchildren, 11 great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Herbert L. Gillespie, brother Henry Thomas, half-sister Jessie Cochran, and sisters Alice Greenwood, Roseann Sando, Helen Schlader and Caroline Johnston. Funeral services will be Friday, November 15, 2013 at 10:00 A.M. at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Friends may call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery. Memorials are preferred to the Grafton Lutheran Quilting, the Grafton Lutheran Radio Fund, or the Park River Bible Camp Quilting.
