Ann M. Gorder, age 90 of Grafton, ND passed away on Sunday, November 15, 2009 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. Ann M. Bergman was born June 27, 1919 in Gardar Township of Pembina County. She grew up and attended school there, graduating from Gardar High School. She attended nurses training at the Deaconess Hospital in Grafton. Following her education she worked as a nurse at Deaconess Hospital. Ann was united in marriage to Henry O."Hank" Gorder on January 18, 1942 in Las Vegas, NV. The couple lived in Nebraska and Texas while he was in the service. Following Hank's discharge the couple returned to Grafton and Ann worked at the Deaconess Hospital and Grafton Clinic until retiring. Hank passed away on January 5, 2002. Ann moved to the Lutheran Sunset Home in Grafton in May of 2009. Ann was a member of the Grafton Lutheran Church. She is survived by her children: Carol (Paul) Janousek, Mentor, MN; Jon Gorder, Grafton, ND; grandchildren: Jason Janousek, Fargo, ND; John (Lisa) Janousek, Moorhead, MN; Jeremy Janousek, Brainerd, MN; Theresa (Michael) Watson, Colorado Springs, CO; great grandchildren: Cameron, Colton and Karley Janousek and Reid Watson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, infant daughter Eileen, siblings: John Bergman, Florence Mayer, Fred Bergman, Esther Mullen and Kjristan Bergman, infant granddaughter Jennifer Janousek. Funeral services will be Thursday, November 19, 2009 at 2:00 PM at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery.
