Angela Mary Jarolimek succumbed to COVID-19 in Fargo, ND, on May 5, 2020. She was born September 1, 1922 at rural Grafton, ND. She was the fourth child born to Frank W. and Anna (Dusek) Kubesh. She attended school at District #81 rural Grafton, St. Wenceslaus Catholic School in Wahoo, NE, and St. Aloysius Academy in Oakwood, ND.
On May 26, l941, she married Matthias E. Jarolimek at St. Luke’s Catholic Church in Veseleyville, ND. The couple farmed and raised their family of seven sons and one daughter at rural Forest River, ND until 1976 when they retired to Veseleyville. Matt died on October 5, 1996.
Angela was a lifelong member of St. Luke’s Catholic Church where she was active in the Altar Society and the church choir. She also belonged to the Holy Rosary Society.
Angela developed a love of reading early in her life and was a voracious reader. She was always ready to exchange books with others. She expressed her artistic aptitude through her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, quilts, crocheted articles and Czech baked goods. Her skills extended to the creation of delicious jams, jellies, and even wine from most seasonal fruits.
Music was always an important part of her life. She played piano by ear and sang many years in the church choir. Her voice was sadly missed when she moved to Fargo in 2004. While she attended school in Wahoo, she sang with two sisters on a local radio station. Her enjoyment of music never wavered and proved to be a lasting comfort in her twilight years. She participated in community singing at the nursing home and retained her beautiful voice.
Angela had a steadfast love of her family and church. She lived a full life and will be remembered for her warm personality and smile.
She is survived by sons: Matt F. Stanwood, WA; Kenneth (Kathy) Bismarck, ND; Alvin Grand Forks, ND; Craig (Dawn) Forest River, ND; and Earl (Kristi) Fargo, ND; daughter: Theresa (Jim) Cernik Fargo, ND; brother: Lewis (Lorraine)Kubesh Milwaukee, WI; sister: Sr. MaryBeth Kubesh Omaha, NE; seventeen grandchildren and thirty-one great grandchildren.
