Alvida V. Baxstrom

Alvida V. Baxstrom, age 87 of Rolette, ND, formerly of Park River, ND passed away Monday, January 07, 2013 at the Rolette Community Care Center, Rolette, ND. Alvida V. Backstrom was born March 7, 1925 in rural Adams, ND, the daughter of the late August and Annie (Samuelson) Backstrom. She lived on the farm with her parents and attended Bena School, rural Adams and Adams High School. Alvida was united in marriage to Arnold Baxstrom on December 31, 1945. The couple farmed his father's farm near Mylo, North Dakota. In October 2001, after her husband's death Alvida moved to Park River. She made her home in Park River until June 2011 when she became a resident of Rolette Community Care Center. Alvida is survived by several cousins. She was preceded in death by her husband Arnold and parents. Funeral services will be Thursday, January 10, 2013 at 10:30 AM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may call at the funeral home for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Gustavus-Adolphus Lutheran Cemetery, rural Adams.
