Alma G. Bakken

Alma G. Bakken age 83 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Hope, ND and Hoople, ND passed away on Sunday, December 4, 2011 at Woodside Village of 4000 Valley Square, Grand Forks, ND. Alma G. Linstad was born March 2, 1928 near Park River, ND the daughter of the late Magnus and Carolyn Linstad. She attended rural school near there. Alma was united in marriage to Arnold T. Bakken on August 20, 1947 in Crookston, MN. The couple lived and farmed near Fairdale, ND until 1960 when they moved to Hoople, ND. Arnold passed away on October 30, 1987 and Alma moved to Hope, ND in 2007. She later moved to Tufte Manor in Grand Forks and in April of 2011 she moved to Woodside village. Alma is survived by her children: Allen Bakken, Jamestown, ND; Arlen Bakken, Grafton, ND; Melinda Aaland, Grafton, ND; Judy Courtney (Bob Hayes), Jamestown, ND; Yvonne (David) Glanfield, Edmonton, Ontario Canada, Gary (Carmen) Bakken, Hope, ND; Pamela (Arnold) Evenson, Grand Forks, ND; nine grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and brothers and sisters. Private family services will be held. Interment will be at the Hoople City Cemetery.
