Allen R. Denault

Allen R. Denault, age 63 of Park River, ND passed away on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Allen R. Denault was born February 6, 1947 in Grafton, ND, the son of Adeline Denault and the late Richard Denault. He grew up in Park River and attended Cudmore School, Dundee School and graduated from the Walsh County Agricultural School. After his schooling he began farming and trucking. He took over the family farm in 1969. Allen farmed for many years with Joe Almen; he worked for the Park River Cement Plant, Larson's Potato House, Walsh County Highway Department and drove truck for his wife. Allen was united in marriage to Ruth Billings on July 9, 1993 on their family farm. Allen retired in December of 2009. He was a member of Victory Free Lutheran Church and a former member of the Park Center Lutheran Church. Allen enjoyed hunting, fishing, playing the guitar, music and western movies, especially Clint Eastwood. Allen's family, grandchildren and animals meant everything to him. Allen is survived by his wife Ruth Denault, Park River, ND; children: Richard (Mandy) Denault, East Grand Forks, MN; Blanche Berg, St. John, ND; Anne (Ed) Wallette, St. John, ND; grandchildren: Becky Denault, June and Peter Berg, Darren, Amber and Marie Berg, his mother Adeline Denault, siblings: Leland Denault, Lankin, ND; Gerald (Diann) Denault, Adams, ND; Roland Denault, Ardoch, ND; Lynette (Randy) Trosen, Park River, ND and Lynelle (Yon) Shutt. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his father and grandparents. Funeral services will be Saturday, January 29, 2011 at 11:00 A.M. at the Victory Free Lutheran Church of Park River. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River. Friends may also call at the church on Saturday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Memorial Park Cemetery, Park River, ND.
