Alice F Sevigny

Alice F. Sevigny, age 88 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, April 04, 2016 at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton.

Alice Frances Grabanski was born May 12, 1927 on the family farm near Warsaw, the daughter of the late Anton and Frances (Slominski) Grabanski. She attended rural school near Warsaw. Alice was united in marriage to John B. Sevigny on June 3, 1947 at St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw. The couple lived and farmed near Oakwood. Alice helped on the farm in the spring and fall. She also did a lot of interior painting and wallpapering for many people in the Grafton area. The couple moved into Grafton in March of 2002. John passed away on Feb. 22, 2014.

Alice was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society of Oakwood. She loved square dancing, playing cards and bowling. Her greatest joy was following her grandchildren’s sporting events and making cinnamon rolls for them.

Alice is survived by her children: Rita (James) Havis, Oslo, MN; LaVonne (Nick) Storhaug, Lisbon, ND; Cynthia (Wayne) Holt, Grafton, ND; seven grandchildren: Shaun Havis, Jenice Looney, Brady Storhaug, Tyler Storhaug, John Holt, Ross Holt, Luke Holt, 13 great grandchildren: Alex, Aaron & Brynn Havis, Ashlyn and Kaelie Looney, Elizabeth and Nicholas Storhaug, Colin, Lydia, Peyton, Christian, Stella and Nora Holt, her siblings: Vivian (Ken) Secrist, Grafton, ND/Mesa, AZ; Merlyn (Dolores) Grabanski, Grafton, ND; Audrey (Duane) Paschke, Oslo, MN. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Earl and sister, Evelyn.

Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, April 8, 2016 at 10:30 A.M. at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
