Alice F. Rose

Alice F. Rose, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away on Thursday, May 20, 2010 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks. Alice F. Henschel was born October 28, 1948 in Drayton, ND the daughter of Ed and Hattie (Greening) Henschel. She attended schools in Clyde and graduated from Munich High School. Alice was united in marriage to Cordell "Corky" Rose on February 4, 1967 in Grafton. The couple made their home in Grafton where Alice worked at Cyril's Laundry, Wally's Bakery, and the Doughnut Hole and operated a day care in her home. In July of 1978 she started working as a dietary aide at the Lutheran Sunset Home of Grafton. She worked there until December of 2009 when her health forced her to retire. Alice was a member of the St. John's Catholic Church of Grafton. Alice is survived by her husband Corky of Grafton, ND; her children: Brian (Brenda) Rose, Rice, MN; Shelly (Oscar) Arroyo, Forest River, ND, her parents Ed and Hattie Henschel, Grafton, ND; four grandchildren: Dustin Rose, Kassidy Arroyo, Cody Rose, Dillan Rose; two step-granddaughters: Mariah and Emily and sister Lois (Scott) Aikins, Beaverton, OR. Mass of Christian Burial will be Monday, May 24, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John's Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Sunday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Monday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. John's Catholic Cemetery, Grafton, ND.
