Alice Lillian Paschke

Alice Lillian Paschke, age 95 of Grafton, ND passed away on November 22, 2018 at the Unity Medical Center Hospital of Grafton, ND.

Alice was born December 18, 1922 in Walsh County, ND, the daughter of the late Marion and Lillian (Lizakowski) Mozinski. She was baptized and confirmed at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church in Warsaw, ND. Alice grew up on a farm east of Warsaw and was educated in a rural school near the farm.

Alice was united in marriage to Stanley Paschke on June 30, 1941 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church. She farmed with Stanley east of Ardoch, ND until his passing in 1976. She continued to live on the farmstead until her move to the Lutheran Sunset Home in January 2017.

Alice is survived by her son Chester (Sharon) Paschke, Grand Forks, ND, grandchildren: Kevin (Karen) Paschke, Williston, ND, Brent (Victoria) Paschke, Santa Clarita, CA, Matthew (Emily) Paschke, Fargo, ND, Duane Stoltman, Thief River Falls, MN, Darlene Stremick, Grand Forks, ND, Doris (Robert) Degenstein, Mankato, MN, Dale (Elizabeth) Stoltman, Eagle Lake, MN, and nine great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Stanley, daughter Adeline, brothers: Bruce and Walter, infant sister Florence, sister-in-law Eleanor (Bruce), son-in-law Gerald Stoltman, grandsons: Darrell and Daniel Stoltman and several nieces and nephews.

The family wishes to thank the Grafton Lutheran Sunset Home staff for the exceptional care they provided for her. Mom’s favorite and repeated saying about living at Sunset was, “It’s like I’ve moved to Heaven!” The family also wishes to extend thanks and appreciation for the professional care she received in her final days at the Grafton Unity Medical Center Hospital, as well as Fr. Brian Moen for his visits and prayers.

A private family service will be held at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton with interment at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery of Warsaw, ND.
