Alice Jean Eide, age 78 of Auburn, ND, passed away Tuesday, November 14, 2017 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND.
Alice Jean Burger was born March 13, 1939 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Edward and Mildred (Anderson) Burger. She attended school in St. Thomas. Alice was united in marriage to Francis Eide on September 8, 1955 in Cavalier, ND. The couple made their home in St. Thomas, ND, where she raised her children. The couple then moved to rural Auburn and she worked for the Fedje Farm and Rinde Farm, she then worked for the Grafton Developmental Center, retiring after 17 years due to her health.
She was a member of the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church and WELCA. She enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren, visiting with people, camping, shopping, riding the golf cart and playing mini golf. She loved playing card games, yahtzee with Sharon and whist with her family.
Alice is survived by her husband, Francis Eide, Auburn, ND; children: Vicky (Dean) Wilson, Hallock, MN; Donald Eide, Auburn, ND; Bradley (Linda) Eide, Grafton, ND; Ronald Eide, Auburn, ND; Rebecca (Rob Swenson) Anderson, Middle River, MN; grandchildren: Mark Langley, Brian (Svenja) Langley, Lance (Kayla) Eide, Devin (Vicki) Kitchens, Nichole (Pepe) Martinez, Jessica Eide, Brandi (Cody) Wilson, Brandon (Demon & Angel) Anderson; fifteen great-grandchildren; siblings: Jeanne (Rocky) Contreras, St. Thomas, ND; Diane (Bill) Campbell, Huron, SD; Earl (Roberta) Burger, St. Thomas, ND; sister-in-law, Kathy Burger; brother-in-law, John White. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, great grandchild, Regina; sisters; Evelyn and Sharon; brother, Norman; nephews: Dion White and Mark Boulduc; two grand-dogs; Rusty and Scooby.
Funeral Services will be Wednesday, November 22, 2017 at 11:00 A.M. at the Our Saviour’s Lutheran Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service on Wednesday. Interment will be at the St. Thomas City Cemetery, St. Thomas.
