Alan J. Mohagen

Alan J. Mohagen, age 64 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, December 09, 2014 at his home near Grafton. Alan J. Mohagen was born July 25, 1950 in Grafton, ND the son of the late Alfred and Dorothy (Westby) Mohagen. He attended schools in Grafton. Following his education he served in the United States Army from January of 1969 to September of 1970 in Vietnam. He returned to Grafton and worked for Fee Painting and doing Ski Patrol in New Mexico in the winter months. He later farmed near Grafton, worked for Stark Builders and in 1992 started working as an assembler at the Pembina Bus Plant. He worked there until retiring in April of 2013. He was married to Elaine Czapiewski on Feb. 21, 1981. Alan is survived by his children: Matthew (Kimberly) Mohagen, Grafton, ND; Ashley (Daniel) Olivarez, Grafton, ND; four grandchildren: Brooklyn and Brody Mohagen and Kierstyn and Payton Olivarez; his siblings: Paul (Bonnie) Mohagen, Grafton, ND; Wayne (Bonnie) Mohagen, Aurora, MN; Sandy (Roger) Stark, Grafton, ND. Several aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents. Funeral services will be Friday, December 12, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the Grafton Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton Lutheran Cemetery. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard.
