Agnes Richotte

Agnes M. Richotte, age 88 of Park River, ND passed away on Saturday, November 29, 2008 at the Good Samaritan Center of Park River. Agnes M. Smith was born February 3, 1920 in Langdon, ND the daughter of the late Peter and Jean (Murie) Smith. She grew up and attended school there. Agnes was united in marriage to Albert Richotte on March 16, 1940 in Lakota, ND. The couple lived in Walhalla for a time after their marriage. They moved to Park River in the late 1950's where she owned and operated the Westside Drive Inn. After closing the Drive Inn she went to work as a Resident Care Technician at the Grafton Developmental Center until the age of 69 years. After retiring from the Developmental Center she became an antique dealer, traveling to many flea markets in the Midwest where she made many good friends.  Albert died September 23, 1992 and in January of 2007 she moved to the Good Samaritan Center.

Agnes is survived by her children: Patricia (Ken) Olafson, Rockford, IL; Barbara Paulson (John Lenarduzzi), Akron, OH; Albert Richotte (Cheryl Hoot) and Michael (Monika) Richotte, both of Kent, WA; 10 grandchildren: Julie Olafson, Val Olafson, Karen Lanman, Kristi Sensenig, Craig Olafson, Robin Bryant, Michelle Bowersox, Kerry Macomber, Lance Richotte, Wade Richotte, 19 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers: Robert and Eugene Smith and sister Dorothy Jameson.
