Adeline Sczensy, age 95 of Grand Forks, ND and formerly of Warsaw, ND passed away on Tuesday, March 2, 2010 at the Woodside Village of Valley 4000 in Grand Forks, ND. Adeline Rogalla was born August 22, 1914 in Pulaski Township, rural Warsaw, ND the daughter of the late Frank and Martha (Grabanski) Rogalla. She was reared and educated there. On September 19, 1939 she was united in marriage to Heleodore Sczesny at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw and the couple celebrated 66 years of marriage. They lived on the Sczesny farm until 1979 when they moved into Warsaw. Adeline was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and Altar Society. She was also a member of the Sacred Heart Society and the Senior Citizens. She worked for many years at the St. Joseph Chapel of the Red River, and prepared the altar with linens and flowers for the June Mass. She worked as sacristan for nine years for St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and especially enjoyed working in her flower gardens. Adeline is survived by her daughters: Elaine (Lawrence) Gerszewski, Grand Forks, ND; Ione (Lee) Duray, Grand Forks, ND; five grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren and one great great grandson. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two brothers: Steve and Hilary Rogalla; sister Eugenia Gerszewski; granddaughter Tammy Duray and great grandson Jakob Johnson. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, march 10, 2010 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7 PM with a Rosary service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Wednesday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the church cemetery.
