Larry C Pewe

Larry C. Pewe, age 79 of Edinburg, ND passed away on Wednesday, April 8, 2020 at his home surrounded by his family.

Larry Charles Pewe was born May 20, 1940 in McHenry, ND the son of the late Louie C. and Ruby H. (Anderson) Pewe. He graduated from McHenry High School in 1958 and graduated from Valley City State Teacher’s College in 1963. Larry was united in marriage to Carol Coenen on January 1, 1962 in Warwick, ND. In the fall of 1963 the couple moved to Edinburg, ND where Larry taught Business Classes at the Edinburg High School. In the summer months he did custom crop spraying. In 1976 he took the job as Manager of the Edinburg Farmers Elevator, retiring in 2006.

He was a member of the Trinity Lutheran Church and served on the church council. He was a member of the Ediburg PTO, Edinburg Volunteer Fire Department, serving as chief for a time and served on the Edinburg City Council.

Larry is survived by his wife, Carol, Edinburg, ND; children: Kimberly Pewe, Edinburg, ND; Marianne (Marcus) Windingland, Edinburg, ND; Kelly (Robert) Weisz, Hazen, ND; Penny (Chris) Davidson, Evansville, WI; DuWayne, (Melissa) Pewe, Edinburg, ND; grandchildren: Darin (Kyann) Lee, Robyn Lee (Abe Potvin), Justin (Lisa) Weisz, Danielle (Kyle) Keidel, Brandon Davidson, Alyson Pewe, Gavin Pewe; great grandchildren: Kain and Lainey Lee and baby Weisz due in June; his brother: Allan (Dorine) Pewe, Wakarusa, KS. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Private family services will be held later with inurnment at Trinity Lutheran Cemetery, Edinburg, ND.
