Robert Frank Plutowski

Robert F. Plutowski, age 84 of Warsaw, ND, passed away Saturday, October 4, 2014 at his home in Warsaw. Robert Frank Plutowski was born March 21, 1930 in Walshville Township, Walsh County, ND, the son of the late Leo and Helen (Rogalla) Plutowski. He was baptized, confirmed and married at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw. He attended rural grade school, St. Anthony's Catholic School, Warsaw, and graduated from Oslo High School. He attended Aaker's Business College in Grand Forks. After college he began his farming career and continued until his retirement in 1994. Robert was united in marriage to Dorothy Paschke on October 11, 1955 at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church, Warsaw, ND. The couple made their home on the family farm where they raised their five children. They moved to Warsaw in July of 2000 and continued to live there until the time of his death. They were married one week short of 59 years. He was a member of the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church and was a member of the Polish National Alliance. Robert was proud of his children and grandchildren. After retirement he enjoyed doing repairs around the farm. Robert had a genuine affection for animals. He also had many stories of his seven campaigns worked at American Crystal Sugar. Robert is survived by his wife Dorothy Plutowski, Warsaw, ND; children: Clare (Roger) DuFault, Grand Forks, ND; Wayne Plutowski, Pflugerville, TX, Eugene (Roshelle) Plutowski, Rochester, MN; David Plutowski, Austin, TX; Jason (Bethany) Plutowski, Warsaw, ND; grandchildren: Jesse DuFault, Lewis, Nicholas, James, Emily, William, Andrew, Simon, Gina, Hannah and Veronica Plutowski; siblings: Beatrice Dipple, Grafton, ND; Louise (Emil) Votava, Grand Forks, ND; Earl (Lydia) Plutowski, Grand Forks, ND; sisters-in-law: Barbara (Plutowski) Skalicky, Grand Forks, ND; Evelyn Plutowski, East Grand Forks, MN. Many nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandson, Alexander, brothers: Eugene, James, and Edwin, and brother-in-law, Halward Dipple. Mass of Christian Burial will be Friday, October 10, 2014 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Church of Warsaw, ND. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the church. Friends may call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the St. Stanislaus Catholic Cemetery, Warsaw.
