Francis E Dolan

Francis E. “Frank” Dolan age 68 of Bemidji, MN, formerly of Grafton, ND passed away Thursday, September 28, 2017 at his home in Bemidji.

Frank E. Dolan was born in Grafton, ND, the son of the late Raymond and Henrietta (Barta) Dolan. He grew up in Oakwood and attended St. Aloysius Academy in Oakwood and graduated from Crookston Agriculture High School. He then attended the University of Minnesota Crookston. Frank farmed for several years with his brothers under the name Ray Dolan and Sons. He later worked for the Walsh County Sheriff’s Department. Frank was united in marriage to Barbara “Barb” Burns-Lunde on May 18, 1996 at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church of Oakwood.

He was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Wilton, MN and the Eagles Club. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, cooking and spending time with his family, especially fishing with his grandkids.

He is survived by his wife, Barb Dolan, Bemidji, MN; daughters: Barbie (Tracy) Seim, Park River, ND; Jennifer Lunde, Grand Forks, ND; grandchildren: Brittany and Brenden Elliott and Bailee Seim; siblings: Richard (Linda) Dolan, Grafton, ND; Paul (Barb) Dolan, Grafton, ND; Eileen LaBerge, San Francisco, CA; Dennis (Debbie) Dolan, Fargo, ND; sister-in-law, Lea Ann Dolan, Grafton, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents and brother, Robert Dolan.

Mass of Christian Burial will be held Thursday, October 5, 2017 at 10:30 A.M. at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7:00 P.M. with a prayer service at 6:30 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Inurnment will be at the Sacred Heart Catholic Cemetery, Oakwood.
