Evelyn Bogert

Evelyn J. Bogert, age 79 of Park River, ND passed away on Sunday, June 22, 2008 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Evelyn J. Johnson was born Feb. 26, 1929 in Edinburg, ND the daughter of the late Edwin and Elida (Odden) Johnson. She grew up and attended school there. Evelyn was united in marriage to Vincent H. Bogert on Aug. 3, 1949 in Hoople, ND. The couple lived in Hoople and Inkster before moving to Park River in 1966. She worked as a cook at the Grafton Developmental Center and Park River Good Samaritan Center, retiring in 1990. She is survived by her husband Vincent of the Park River Good Samaritan Center, daughter Valarie (Mike Graber) Bogert, Park River, ND; two granddaughters: Evelyn E. Bogert and April C. Simmons, both of Grand Forks, ND; one great grandson, Bailey Simmons, Grand Forks, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was the last surviving member of her immediate family. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother Stanley M. Johnson and sister June Denault. Funeral services will be Thursday, June 26, 2008 at 2:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River, ND. Visitation will be Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Trinity Lutheran Cemetery in Edinburg, ND. In lieu of flowers, the family would prefer memorials to the Park River Ambulance Service. The Tollefson Funeral Home of Park River is in charge of the arrangements. Guest Book
