Leon Weberg Leon Weberg, age 83 of Fairdale, ND died on Saturday, March 29, 2008 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Leon Weberg was born June 7, 1924 in Fairdale, ND the son of the late Gust and Selma (Myra) Weberg. He graduated from Fairdale High School and in 1942 he started farming due to his father’s death. Leon married Corrine “Connie” Latulippe on April 3, 1949 at the Aadalen Lutheran Church, Fairdale, ND. The couple lived and farmed near Fairdale until retiring in the late 1980’s. He also worked as a rural mail carrier until retiring in 1997. Leon was a member of the Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church and a former member of Aadalen Lutheran Church. He served on the board at the Fairdale Farmers Elevator for 27 years and the Kinloss Township Board. He was also a member of the Sons of Norway. Leon is survived by his wife Connie, Fairdale, ND; children: Curtis Weberg, Sun Valley, NV; Barbara (Merle) Langton, Flower Mound, TX; Kenneth (Valerie) Weberg, Walker, MN; 8 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren, brother: Gene (Lorraine) Weberg, Grafton, ND and sister Lillian Bolton, Duluth, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandchild. Funeral services will be Friday, April 4, 2008 at 10:00 AM at Our Redeemer’s Lutheran Church. Visitation will be Thursday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home, Park River, ND. Friends may also call at the church on Friday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Aadalen Lutheran Cemetery.
