Josie Ruzicka Josie E. Ruzicka, age 99 of Grafton, ND passed away on Monday, March 24, 2008 at the Unity Medical Center of Grafton. Josie E. Greicar was born Aug. 23, 1908 in Pisek, ND the daughter of the late Frank and Rose (Novak) Greicar. She grew up and attended school near Conway, ND. She married John J. Ruzicka on October 9, 1928 in Pisek. The couple lived and farmed near Veseleyville, ND until retiring and moving to Grafton in 1968. Josie worked in the housekeeping departments of the Grafton Deaconess and later the Unity Hospital in Grafton. She later did housekeeping for several families in Grafton. She also helped her daughter-in-law Kathy with her daycare for many years. John died September 29, 1979. Josie moved to the Lutheran Sunset home on October 9, 2003. She was a member of the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church and Altar Society. She is survived by her son Evarist (Kathy) Ruzicka, Grafton, ND seven grandchildren and ten great grandchildren and daughter-in-law; Ann Ruzicka (Bill) Makovsky, Moorhead, MN.  Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son Leonard, daughter Martha Botner, and four brothers: Jim, John, Frank and Tom and five sisters: Mary, Rose, Sophie, Hattie and Martha. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, March 27, 2008 at 12:30 PM at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, Grafton, ND. Visitation will be Wednesday from 5-7 PM with a prayer service at 7:00 PM at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church on Thursday for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at St. Luke’s Catholic Cemetery, Veseleyville, ND. The Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton is in charge of the arrangements. Guest Book
