Linda Grove, age 63 of Adams, ND passed away on Friday, April 08, 2011 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks.

Linda J. Troftgruben was born July 30, 1947 in Grafton, ND the daughter of Earl and Anna (Samdahl) Troftgruben. She graduated from Edinburg High School and completed her teaching degree from Mayville State Teachers College. Following her education, Linda taught school in Edinburg. She was united in marriage to Richard Grove on June 22, 1969 at Odalen Lutheran Church. The couple lived in Indiana and Nebraska where she taught school. They later lived in Kansas and New Mexico. In1979 the couple moved back to North Dakota where they settled in Adams, ND. Linda worked as the church secretary for the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church until the time of her death. She also worked for the city of Adams, cooked at the Adams School and Adams Senior Citizens.

She was a member of the Mountain Lutheran Church and WELCA and also served on the Altar Guild.

Linda is survived by her husband Richard of Adams, ND; her sons: Scot (Christine) Grove, Adams, ND; Brian (Nicole) Grove, Strasburg, ND; her granddaughter Taylor Grove, her mother Anna Windingland, Hoople, ND; sister Cathy Hennelly, St. Paul, MN; brother Arlynn (Linda) Troftgruben, Edinburg, ND. Several nieces and nephews also survive. She was preceded in death by her father Earl and her grandparents.

Funeral services will be Monday, April 11, 2011 at 10:30 A.M. at the Adams Mountain Lutheran Church, Adams, ND. Visitation will be Monday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at West Adams Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family would prefer memorials to the American Diabetes Association.
