Edward Bolek

Edward Bolek, age 87 of Grafton, ND passed away on Tuesday, January 26, 2010 at the Altru Hospital of Grand Forks, ND. Edward Bolek was born September 27, 1922 on the family farm near Grafton to the late Joseph and Josephine (Mishalek) Bolek. He attended school in Oakwood, ND. Edward was united in marriage to BebeAnn Slominski on April 19, 1948 in Warsaw, ND. The couple lived and farmed in Oakwood Township until 2009 when they moved to Valley Eldercare in Grand Forks.

Ed was a member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Grafton.

He is survived by his wife BebeAnn of Grand Forks, ND; children: Kathy (Robert) Walski, Oslo, MN; Marvin (Beatrice) Bolek, Ardoch, ND; Kevin Bolek, Warsaw, ND; Elaine (Jeff) Awes, Grand Forks, ND; daughter-in-law Kim Bolek, Grand Forks, ND, ten grandchildren: Tina, Willie, Scott, Nikki, Alex, Megan, Samantha, Ross, David and Evan; seven great grandchildren: Josie, Vincent, Kaia, Cooper, Sofie, Brady and Luke, sister Irene Altendorf, Grand Forks, ND. He was preceded in death by his parents, children: Wayne, Joelene, and Marlene, brother Henry and sister Laura.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, January 30, 2010 at 2:30 PM at the St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Saturday for one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Grafton.
