Gail M Osowski

Gail M. Osowski, age 61 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2016 near Grafton from injuries sustained in an ATV accident.

Gail M. Prondzinski was born January 14, 1955 in Grafton, ND, the daughter of the late Chester and Berniece (Nowacki) Prondzinski. She grew up and attended school in Grafton, graduating in 1973. She enlisted in the U.S. Army and served as an M.P. for two years, being discharged in 1975. Following her discharge, she returned to Grafton and was united in marriage to Alan Osowski on December 13, 1975. The couple made their home near Grafton and she worked several jobs including the Grafton State School, a teacher’s aide and librarian at Grafton Public Schools and at Taco Night in Oakwood for over 20 years. Following her retirement in December of 2014, she helped out at the Grafton Golf Course.

She was a member of the Sacred Heart Catholic Church and Altar Society of Oakwood, ND. She was also a CCD Coordinator at the church. She was a member of the American Legion and the Eagle’s. She enjoyed bowling, curling, playing softball, fishing trips, and spending time with family and friends. The couple purchased a home in Lake Havasu in 2009 and enjoyed spending winters there prospecting for Gold.

Gail is survived by her husband Alan, Grafton, ND, children: Nick (Darcey) Osowski, Oakwood, ND, Karly (Tiffany) Osowski, Lake Havasu City, AZ, Sean (Amber) Osowski, rural Grafton, ND, grandchildren: Hailey and Kinley Osowski, and one on the way, siblings: Dale (Terry) Prondzinski, Fredericksburg, VA, Keith Prondzinski, Eugene, OR, Joy (Eddie) Michael, Climax, MN, Dean (Delores) Prondzinski, Woodburn, OR, as well as several nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts and uncles. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother Mark.

Mass of Christian Burial will be on Saturday, November 12, 2016 at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Friday from 5-7 with a prayer service at 7:00 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Military rites will be provided by the Grafton American Legion Post #41 and the North Dakota National Guard Honor Guard. Interment will be at the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery of Grafton.
