Jose Luis Espinoza

Jose Luis Espinoza, age 55 of Grafton, ND passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014 at his home in Grafton. Jose Luis Espinoza was born March 4, 1959 in San Ingnacio, Sinaloa, Mexico, the son of the late Jose Luis and Maria del Carmen (Bastidas) Espinoza. He grew up and lived in Mexico until 1975 when he moved to the United States. He was united in marriage to Anita Alanis on December 17, 1978 in Tulare, CA. The couple lived in California for several years and later in Houston, TX. They moved to Grafton in 1982 where he worked for Paul Suda Farm's and Forest River Bean for many years. He started Espinoza Trucking in 2003 and worked there until his health forced him to retire in 2012. He enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and being around horses. He is survived by his wife Anita, Grafton, ND, children: Jose Luis II (Mayra) Espinoza, Detroit, MI, Julio Cesar (Maria) Espinoza, Melissa (Saul) Quevedo, Juan Angel Espinoza, Jaime Vidal (Kayla) Espinoza, Juvensio Espinoza, all of Grafton, ND, 12 grandchildren, siblings: Dolores Espinoza, Trinidad Espinoza, Guadalupe Espinoza, Rosa Espinoza, George Espinoza, and Librado Espinoza, all of California. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Magdaly Espinoza. Mass of Christian Burial will be Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at 11:30 A.M. at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church of Grafton. Visitation will be Tuesday from 5-7:30, with a prayer service at 7:30 P.M. at the Tollefson Funeral Home of Grafton. Friends may also call at the church for one hour prior to the service. Interment will be at the Grafton City Cemetery.
